Product

Every house is unique, and there's a lot of different considerations, and personal preferences when selecting a house number. We've written a blog post here which may assist in reviewing your options.

We offer powder coated matt black [most popular] powder coated matt white, and a brushed aluminium finish.

If you live in coastal areas, and your house number will be exposed to the elements, we recommend the powder coated black or white option. We use a a chromate treatment on all powder coated numbers to maximise durability.

There's a few tips we have on this, you can see the full details here.

Installation and care

All orders include our detailed installation instructions.

The most common methods of instillation are flat mounted or floating mounted.

Flat mounting involves using a suitable adhesive to adhere the flat back side of the number to the surface you wish to mount to.

A floating mount involves using our [included] rods and spacers create a gap between the number and mounting surface.

House numbers can be installed in a variety of locations ranging from your front fence, letter box, front door or even part of your house.

In choosing a location it's important to consider the legibility of the number from the street. If a house number is installed in a position far from the street, it's worth considering a larger sized number to ensure it can be easily read.

A flush mounted house number is the term used to describe when the number is mounted flat against the mounting surface eg your fence, and there is no gap between the number and the fence.

A floating mounted house number is a more modern style where there is a slight gap between the number and the mounting surface. This is achieved through the use of a spacer.

All our house numbers are made with 9mm solid aluminium. Although they will not rust, over time in some environments aluminium can show signs of corrosion.

Our matt black and matt white house numbers are powder coated and treated with an anti corrosive finish to be suitable for all environments including coastal areas.

Our brushed aluminium numbers are also treated with an anti corrosive finish.

Cleaning our house numbers is as simple as using a warm soapy water mixture with one cloth, and ensuring the number is wiped dry with a seperate cloth.

To achieve a floating mount effect you'll need to use a combination of the [included] rods and spacers.

The rods are inserted in to the back of the house number, and then the spacers over the top of the rods.

The spacers allow a small gap between the number and the mounting surface. Full installation instructions are included with each order.

A flush mounted house number is the term used to describe when the number is mounted flat against the mounting surface eg your fence, and there is no gap between the number and the fence.

For a flush mount you insert the [included] rods in to the back of the number, and drill corresponding holes for the rods on your mounting surface. No need to use the spacers.

Full installation instructions are included with each order.

The adhesive between the rod and your mounting surface will depend on what the surface material is made of, however in general we recommend either a silicone base adhesive, or a general purpose, high strength adhesive such as Selleys Liquid Nails.

Yes. With each order we include rods and spacers suitable for achieving either a flush mount or floating mount house number.
