Installation instructions: Letterbox numbers

All Peninsula House Numbers orders come with a print out of installation instructions, and your installation template. We've also detailed them below if you're wanting to get prepared - or if your instructions have gone missing.

01

Gather letterbox numbers, die cut 3M VHB double-sided foam tape, alcohol wipe. Not included: pencil and spirit level.

02

Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with the alcohol wipe and a clean cloth to remove any dirt, dust, or grease. Allow the surface to dry completely.

03

Position your numbers/letters on the letterbox to determine ideal placement. Use a pencil to make light reference marks for alignment and spacing. Using a spirit level is recommended to ensure straight positioning, particularly important if there are multiple numbers.

04

Carefully peel the protective backing from the red side of the double-sided foam and apply to the back of the corresponding number or letter. Press firmly to create a strong bond. Avoid touching the adhesive surface with your fingers. Repeat for all numbers/letters.

05

Peel the protective backing tape from the other side of the foam tape for all numbers/letters. Again, avoid touching the adhesive surface with your fingers.

06

Align the number/letter carefully with your reference marks and press firmly against the surface. Start from the centre and work your way to the edges of each number/letter. Apply strong pressure across the entire surface of each number for at least 30 seconds to ensure proper adhesion. This activates the adhesive bond.

Note: Install at temperatures above 10°C for best results. Avoid installation during wet weather or on damp surfaces. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure completely before exposing to heavy rain or washing the letterbox.
