Questions and answers
Our house numbers are made right here in Melbourne, Australia. They’re precision cut in Dandenong, smoothed and drilled in Mt Eliza and powder coated in Hastings.
We take pride in our production process, from the precision cut technology to quality checking each item by hand. For this reason, we can’t fast track the process. If you need your numbers or letters right away, see our ready to ship options.
When you select your height, we use the corresponding width for each letter and number.
Each of our fonts has a slightly different width, plus each letter within the font family eg "i" is more narrow than "o" when at the same height.
To make it easy to determine the total widths, we've put together a calculator here.
If we can assist with creating a mockup for you to print, please contact us.
A flush mount is when the body of the numbers have direct contact with the surface they’re installed on. A floating mount is when the numbers are slightly raised to create a “floating” effect. When you order through Peninsula House Numbers, you’ll receive both options.
All of our custom house numbers go through a chromate conversion coating process before being powder coated for ultimate durability and protects against corrosion — even in coastal areas.
Yes. We include fixing hardware for both floating and flush mounts (the choice is yours).
Every order comes with detailed installation instructions (for both flush and floating mounts). You’ll need a spirit level, measuring tape, epoxy adhesive (like Selleys Araldite), a hammer, drill and 5mm drill bit (brick or concrete may require a hammer drill and masonry bit).
You can also view these instructions here.

Yes! For installing as letterbox numbers on to a metal letterbox, we recommend using an epoxy adhesive for a flush mount and not using the standard rods.
