Terms of service

These Terms of Sale (our terms of service) apply when you buy from Peninsula House Numbers (ABN 94 497 289 449), PO Box 287, Mount Eliza VIC 3930 ("we", "us"). Trade and commercial orders quoted by us are also subject to our Trade Terms of Supply.

1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

2. Orders and custom products

Our numbers, letters and signs are made to order to the specifications you choose. Please check your text, font, height, finish and quantity carefully before ordering, because we make exactly what you order. Change-of-mind returns aren't available on custom products. See our Refund policy.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. Unless otherwise agreed in your quote, payment is required in full before production. We may correct obvious pricing errors before we accept your order.

4. Production and delivery

Production and delivery times are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check your order when it arrives and let us know about any damage or missing items as soon as possible.

5. Installation

Our products are supplied for installation by you or your installer. We do not install products, inspect sites, or assess the suitability of any wall, surface or location. You are responsible for making sure installation is carried out by a competent person, using fixings and adhesive suitable for the surface, the size and weight of the product and the site's exposure, following our installation instructions and any building, council and site safety requirements that apply. For commercial, multi-storey or elevated installations (above head height or over a public area), please use a qualified tradesperson and follow the guidance in our installation instructions.

6. Product information and advice

Information on our website and any guidance we give is general product information. We don't provide engineering, structural, fire-safety or compliance advice or certification for any particular building or site. Where that is needed, please obtain it from a suitably qualified person.

7. Our liability

Subject to clause 1:

(a) we are not liable for loss or damage to the extent it is caused by installation that does not follow our instructions, by fixings, adhesives or surfaces not supplied by us, or by modification, misuse or lack of maintenance of the product after delivery; and

(b) to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

8. Warranty

Our product guarantee is set out on our Warranty page and is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Website use and intellectual property

Our website content, designs, fonts and artwork are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reproduce them for commercial purposes without our written permission. Your personal information is handled under our Privacy policy.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in place when you order applies to that order.
